Which is exactly why I don't believe we are slipping. If we finish 9-4 in a rebuilding year, with all of these freshmen, I believe we are in very good shape.
We shall see. I'm man enough to say I was wrong if it turns out that way but I bet you won't say that I was right if it doesn't.
Ditto. Not above that. But, we are not really making any grand predictions, just trying to offer rational thought.
If you watched the Cap One bowl and the subsequent games after, then it should be clear to you. Anyone that says Jennings has gotten better is just fooling themselves.
My whole thing with Jennings is the alternative isn't much better. If LSU was 4-4 or 3-5 right now, I would say fuggit, go with Harris this year is kaput anyway, but these guys still have a lot to play for. So I'd stick with Jennings because of his knowledge of the offense. Plain and simple. At no point other than 1 game against the thieves of the Okie State mascot, has Harris shown that he is a more viable option, just not enough for me. Can we get Shea Patterson in here quick please?
Agree. And, I have not said AJ is great, or is improved, or whatever. Just that the coaches think he is our best choice to win now with.
I can't believe people are making their case against AJ by comparing him and his 7 starts to Mett's senior year after having played in JC and a whole jr year at LSU... If I remember correctly, Mett had lot's of problems his jr year also (no qb clock, pocket awareness, overthrowing wide open receivers, etc.)... it was night and day between his jr and sr year...
