sure i watched that vid on youtube of him winning the euro champs with a team sweden jersey. i just thought it was interesting he edited his announcement and removed the part about staying in school. its unfortunate he will be the greatest pole vaulter of all time and beat all the sergei bubka records for sweden and not the US.
Are the euro championships team or individual events? Can't he still be American and be on the USA Olympic team?
individual i guess. i think he will be an olympian for sweden. fair enough, his mom is swedish so he is as swedish as he is american. still unfortunate.
note, the above video is well worth watching. mondos best vault was so high that only one man has ever done it higher outdoors, sergei bubka. and he cleared easy with a huge margin. he will one day be the greatest of all time.
Why can't they just say it in feet and inches? Hearing 5.92, 5.99, 6.05 has no meaning for me without the conversion. Do Europeans really think in metric?
not just the euros but everyone but us and brits. i have traveled a bit so i got used to it. we should get with the world and dump feet and inches and pounds.
