I couldn't believe the referee warned Newton after that play instead of throwing the flag. What do you mean "warned"? Are O linmen "warned" before holding is called? Are DBs "warned" before pass interference is called? Pathetic.
my favorite dirty Fairley moment was the sack on 4th and 13 (or maybe it was 3rd) at the end of the game when Georgia still had a shot at coming back. It looked like he intentionally went for the back of Murray's knees. Personally, i'm glad that the georgia offense line went after him at the end of the game I just wish they did it earlier. Here's one of the shots at the knee. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilMaBUWFP64&feature=player_embedded"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilMaBUWFP64&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
I'm starting to wonder if Bama is going to take out a contract hit on Fairley. If the officials aren't going to do something about it, I think Saban will be inclined to send a little message. Capiche?
I'm convinced the chop block by Ga was a retaliation against him, since the officials won't call anything against him.
Fairley was playign dirty the whole game today. The reason he was pulled out at the end was not because the coaches were punishing him. They knew that if he stayed in, he would end up getting ejected & they would lose him for a half against Bama. They need him for the Bama game & I think deep down, they like him to be dirty. The Cam head slap & Fairley's dirty play all season is proof that this is the prevailing attitude of this Auburn team. Of course, they are undefeated & headed to the SECCG, so all of this sounds like sour grapes, but it is still BS. Auburn played dirty under Tubberville & now it seems that is continuing under Chizik.
