:rofl: Forgot about that... And sorry about the rants today peeps. I'm still stuck in Chicago for a while, and had a little free time for the first time in a while. I was able to peruse the web, watch a little of media days, and finally got enough of the Miles/LSU bashing that is at least to some degree unfair. I realize Miles screwed up against OM last year, and more importantly, so does he. He admitted it publicly. But a 9-3 regular season is not a disaster. We lost to OM, and that's a shame. But there is no shame in losing to UF and Bama in a year where we were never supposed to be a threat...especially when we were in both games. We improved, and to say otherwise is BS. We improved by two games in the conference, even with the terrible OM debacle. We will continue to improve. If I'm wrong, I will come back and say so. Wonder if DHT will do the same if he's wrong??
It's obvious even to the most casual fan that Les Miles is top recruiter. Look at his track record in recruiting. I think we may have been out of the top 10 once in his tenure. The drop off for Miles happens after the players get here. We continue to have top 10 recruiting classes by most accounts yet it's not translating to "W's" on the field. Unfortunately for Miles that is all that matters when you are amongst the top 5 paid coaches in the nation. The critics will silence if we go 11-2 or better. If we go 8-5 it could get real ugly around Tigertown and rightfully so. 9 or 10 wins keeps the debate going.

Seriously, son. If I had that attitude, I'd go hunting or whatever to pass my time in the fall. You can't enjoy yourself. Why don't you pull for Bama or Florida? They seem to meet your requirements. I'm sure that ULM thing was a fluke. And Bonus; you get to follow the NCAA investigations during offseasons. Or better yet, grow up and enjoy being a Tiger fan.
Clearly not, as Mr. DH Tiger stated Miles just won with Saban's players. Also, if the players fall off after they get under Miles' coaching, why did that '07 bunch perform, after being in Miles system for three...and never spending any time on the field under Saban? Also, I have to ask, as I know you are reasonable enough to answer. Do you not agree that the Perrilloux issue had something to do with the fall off from '07 to '08, and do you not agree that the team overall was better last year than in '08? And do you think the team overall will be better this season? Disagree. MOST of the critics will, but not all. There were MANY who stated Miles underachieved in '05, '06, and EVEN '07! Fact. Each of those teams won at least 11 games.
And many bitched the entire way. Miles does deserve criticism for his mistakes, but the sense of entitlement that has overtaken so many fans makes them look borderline retarded.
