When the hell did this happen? Fourth in the West, Behind Arkansas and Auburn? 2 players on all-SEC...right along with Miss State, Ole Miss, and Vandy? Kentucky is supposed to have better players? I just don't understand the world anymore... :bncry: ALL-SEC BY TEAM: Alabama 12, Florida 10, Auburn 6, Georgia 6, Kentucky 4, Arkansas 3, LSU 2, Ole Miss 2, Miss. State 2, South Carolina 2, Tennessee 2, Vanderbilt 2
Either we prove them wrong, or we become what they think we've become. Miles gets bad press, even from LSU fans, so why are you surprised? Saban and Meyer are the only ones that matter right now. It's up to our Tigers to shut them up.
Agreed, I have no beef with Miles. But lets face it, I have many friends of various SEC teams and everyone of them says "I hope Miles stays there for ever" followed by some laughing. It irks me a bit. BUT ALL LSU has to do is win some big ones, dominate the ones they should and ALL this goes away. Respect is earned, not given. Until then. It is what it is. We are a 2nd tier team in the SEC at this point. Most pre-season pubs have us behind Bama, Arkansas and most Auburn. They have the talent, the facilities, etc. Until then we can expect to be an after thought in the national picture. Doesnt matter we still out tailgate the entire nation and Saturday night in Tiger Stadium is the greatest experience in college football.
this is, without a doubt, miles make or break year. either he proves the naysayers wrong, or he proves them right. i do not believe we are bottom feeders, but (unfortunately) we are no longer feared.
One good thing, these predictions are almost always wrong. They can pick us where they want, but they have nothing to do with where we finish. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't worry too much about this. Those numbers are from last year, and both Alabama and Florida lost tons of their All-SEC players.
I clipped that from the Advocate this morning. I don't think they are from last year. I know that respect is earned and all, but I guess I didn't realize just how bad it had gotten. I KNOW we're not bottom-feeders. But this is the first time in a LONG time that we didn't have more All-SEC players than the TRUE bottom-dwellers. Maybe it's a good thing. Without superstars, maybe the team will gel better as a unit...like 2007.
