Fair enough. Edit to "relating tales". Exactly, even if the source is real. I grumble about my job to close friends, especially during these slash-and-burn days at LSU. But it doesn't mean I'm ready to mutiny! Grumbling just releases some stress. If this wasn't the best job in the world for me, I wouldn't be here. Same with the team, I expect.
No sir, it's a liar's paradox get ya chit straight. The problem of the liar paradox is that it seems to show that common beliefs about truth and falsity actually lead to a contradiction. Sentences can be constructed that cannot consistently be assigned a truth value even though they are completely in accord with grammar and semantic rules. But man, are you reeling or what. Show me something that is false and true and you throw out figurative language? In and of itself, by definition, is a way of saying something other than the literal meaning of the words. Gimme a break. If I have to tell you one more time not to speak without raising your hand and being called on...
Just wondering if the OP has ever "heard" anything positive about LSU football in the last several years because I cannot recall one thread that he began mentioning this.
This has to be the first time that a college football coaching discussion turned into a distinguished lecture on logic, metaphysics and semantics. Won't see this on TOS.
I've wasted 5 minutes of my life and have a hell of a headache as a result of reading this thread. :insane:
