You get in trouble with the law if they catch you. There are warning signs. You can also get in trouble by being burned by steam, electrocuted, breathe asbestos, and get crud in your eyes. You can also get lost. It is a maze--we called it the catacombs in the 70's. The tunnels aren't superhighways, they carry utilities and have been added onto many times. I'm sure some are too full of conduits, pipes, and cables to travel easily. It's dirty and dangerous. Be cool. Before they remodeled the Gym/Armory there was a utility room on the top floor that was always open. It had a steel ladder to the hatch in the flat roof. We used to go up on the roof and smoke pot.
You know, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who traveled the tunnels . . . that soph year was spent doing all kinds of stupid stuff like that. But anyone who is looking to do it now, just be careful, I really burned the hell out of my arm down there. It didn't stop me, since I went after that, but it was burned bad. When me and friends went out onto the field, it never crossed my mind that there might be cameras watching us. I bet the secruity guards got a good laugh watching 4 guys running around acting out plays without a football. For those types of students who enjoy adventure, LSU is great campus to explore looking for things like "tunnels", unused basements, roof decks, etc. I probably wouldn't have needed the 7 year plan to graduate, had I not found all these other things to do instead of just going to class. But I did graduate and I had a hell of a time. Next time you are sitting in your apt or dorm room with some friends bored out of your mind . . . just go explore the campus.
Were this to be true....you sir, would be a hero. You know, only if it was with a member of the opposite sex. Otherwise, that just ain't right, son.
Today me and my roommate were at the bank, and we drove down Nicholson and I was like, lets go watch baseball practice, and he was like, can we do that? So i said sure u can, so we walked in the open gates, sat in the bleachers next to the relief pitchers and watched them practice, and guys, we are gonna have a helluva good team this year.
Did the cat walk on the bridge with a 12-pack. You can get busted there too for trespassing. Found that out first hand. Did the catacombs in the mid-eighties while a student. Very cool but I don't think you can really get around in there too much anymore. I used to go into the stadium to study on nice days. One day a few years back some buds and I went out to the stadium after a night out. Had a FB and ran around out there making all sorts of noise. LSU PD came in and ran us off. They were cool about it though. I guess my most memorable experience was this year. I work as a marshal at the games and was walking onto the field with 2 mins left in the Georgia game. Right about the time I got to the endzone on the northeast corner Skyler Greene made THE catch on the other side. I was junping around like a fool and ended up about 5 yards INTO the endzone when an SEC official grabbed me by the shoulder and told me I had to get off the field. You think the crowd is loud sitting in the seats you should hear it on the field. A 747 taking off is NOTHING.
