Snuck in the Union a few times while it was closed. There was one door that was always unlocked upstairs for like a year. Never tried the stadium. Had some friends get on probation from sneaking in the natty.
I always wanted to sneak into the stadium. Is it possible to do it now? I would think its a lot harder now. My girl and i snuck into the Vanderbilt football stadium on valentines day this past year when we went to Nashville for a lil R&R. We did the usual ran around the field, took pics.
Next to impossible now...especially after that group was found with pics and plans from various stadiums around the country.
I just read every post in this thread and I was giving folks rep for good stories and all kinds of shiit. I just realized that these posts are years and years old. Some of the people that I repped up are probably dead now (hope not). I don't feel so smart right now. :insane:
Just checked my email and got an email from TAFCC for a tour of the stadium 2morrow at 4 i think i might just go. Probably be my only chance to walk on the field.
wow. I had heard of all of the other stuff, even done some of it. This never, ever, occurred to me or any of my friends. Wouldn't have tried it if it had.
Seeing this thread again brought back another Tiger Stadium memory I had stored long ago. When they replaced the old wooden benches in the North end zone in the early 70's we snuck into the stadium and the workers had constructed a huge chute made from some of the new aluminum benches they were installing, so they could slide the old wood ones down it to field level so they could be disposed of. The chute went from the top of the stadium almost all the way to the Tiger players field entrance, it was one bench high on both sides and two bench widths wide. Well, being teenagers (I think I was 13 or 14) we decided it would make for an excellent slide. We slid down it several times, the connections between the ends of the aluminum benches was rough, and it was way dirty. We finally stopped when my last time down I ripped up my jeans pretty good, how I avoided cutting the crap outta myself I'll never know. I had so much fun growing up in BR and exploring the campus most summer days back then. Thanks for bumping this thread, loco. :thumb:
