Dear Debbie, yes, you are being a downer, worrying about guys getting hurt and leaving, etc. RS is an athlete, a competitor, and guys like that do NOT want to sit on the sidelines. It's what makes them great.
Couple Shepard's desire to be on the field with natural leadership abilities...and you've got an athlete that's a presence in the locker room and on the field. ...and couple all that with the new, capable coaching staff Miles assembled and you've got a fresh, rejuvenated, team atmosphere. Believe me; the rest of the SEC is noticing what's going on at LSU and are forewarned.
Yeah, I tend to see the worst in most situations. Occupational hazard. And I'm sure you're right that he doesn't want to sit on the sidelines. No athlete wants to sit on the sidelines. But I still think that a year to adjust would benefit him. Anyway, I soooooooooo hope you're right because in reality he probably doesn't red shirt. And I do look forward to seeing a version of the Wild Tiger with JJ, Sheppard, Holliday, Tolliver, Scott etc on the field. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
You can bet that Crowton alread has inserted several plays designed to get him in the game at the same time as JJ into the playbook that's sitting on Shepard's desk right now -next to the new biology textbook.
Oh, God yes. RS, himself, has already said that being the next Percy Harvin, would be "awesome." THAT to me says a lot about the dude. He's a QB, but I don't think he cares if he's playing special teams as long as he gets his hands on the ball with an opportunity to score. I don't think it's too farfetched for everyone in the SEC to realize that LSU will be in pursuit of :crystal:'s for quite a while. :geauxtige
"I have had an outstanding experience at LSU, and feel grateful to have been a part of such a proud tradition," Hatch said. "I appreciate the coaches, teammates, and other support staff I have had the good fortune to work with, and I wish them and the program continued success. I would also like to thank the fans for all the support, and I look forward to attending games in Tiger Stadium in the future."
