we haven’t even seen the edge and we ain’t in a sports car.

our AMC Pacer didn’t even start. which isn’t relevant because had it started the busted radiator would have overheated before we got to the edge. and even that is assuming the fried transmission built up enough speed for it to overheat.

I think it was in a sports car in the record speed we've crashed and burned. Hence her reference. Hopefully the car and coach are on a max 2 yr lease.

Id like to see some leadership surface on this team both on the side of the coaches and the players. There is no identity and the team seems to be lost. It would do well for both levels of strong leadership to emerge quickly. Among other things this team has lost its confidence and that can be devastating to a young group. To say it is gut check time is an understatement.

We are also seeing, quite clearly, just how critical lines are. Skill positions don't play with much skill without big, strong warriors in the trenches. RB's, QB's, CB's, LB's ... all these positions benefit from someone controlling the line. There are a large number of problems hitting this team all at once. It hasn't been lost on Orgeron who has commented that the lines were a priority. Since we can't change who we have at this point, I'd like to see more effort around taking our weaknesses out of play. We have to slow down opposing defenses or come up with plays which limit the impact of a young, inexperienced line. On the defense we have to do things to counter the loss of our big guys up front.

Tough place to be in for sure.

Do you think Troy has an NFL Offensive or Defensive Line? I agree our trenches are garbage, but they're not that much worse than a ton of other programs across college football.
