Southern Miss OC Blake Anderson has interviewed for the LSU OC job according to several websites. Here is his bio, one year old, from the Southern Miss athletic website: Southern Miss Southern Miss finished 18th in total offense in 2010 averaging 261.5 ypg passing and 200.8 ypg rushing. They finished the season 8-5 losing to Louisvilee by 3 pts in a bowl game. Anyone know anything else about Coach Anderson?
Yeah I mean that just can't happen. Southern Miss was supposed to be on a permanent ban. Not sure which AD lifted it, but he should be shot.
I guess we all have a sour taste in our mouths about Curley Hallman, but if we look back we have to understand that Curley had a great QB at Southern Miss that got him the wins - it was not Curley's brain power. I will give Coach Anderson the benefit of the doubt but I, like you guys, am still paranoid about a Southern Miss coach in the LSU locker room.
LOL! I know the feeling! I can't help but be jaded... when I see "Southern Miss coach" and "LSU interviews", I cringe. //seriously.
Not to mention: Anderson came to Southern Miss after spending the 2007 campaign at Louisiana-Lafayette as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Please don't let this happen.
Didn't it also say that he was in private business before the ULL job?? Look, I don't like it when people unrealistically think that LSU is a place that EVERY coach/player dreams of coming to, and dislike when people unrealistically believe LSU is a #1 team every year simply because it's LSU... but in THIS case, um...yeah, we ARE, IMHO, better than that hire.
