:geaux: I think he's pretty close to being full grown. As a Siberian/Bengal Tiger mix, he's supposed to get 7 to 8 ft long nose to tail and weigh in the neighborhood of 700 lbs. A pretty big boy!:hihi: He looks like he ought to be pretty close to that now. Maybe someone else with some more details will post on when he'll be considered full grown. He's almost 4 yrs old now, isn't he? Believe he was two when he came to LSU. :LSU231:
the history of the mike vi... MikeTheTiger.com says mike is 4 years old (i thought he was only 3) and in april weighed 420 pounds. expected to grow to 600-700 pounds. i would guess he has a ways to go. mike hasnt roared yet, but as long as he isnt chuffing at the opposition, im happy. :hihi:
Start a ritual....Park his cage, with supervision, on Thursdays, leaving the door to his FOOD open. If he wants to take it back in his den, OK. Same thing Friday. Let him get used to the schedule. On Sat......he comes in for the food.....lock the door. No food yet....he will probably be angry and growling. Feed him as soon as he gets back in his den. If you feed him early each day, do the same on gameday.....just get him in....maybe feed less on Sat. He will still be ready for more. And growling. Would be nice to see him for baseball games too.....:crystal:
Thanks for the info. Am I alone in thinking if he grows some more he'll outgrow his current trailer? From the photos it sure looks like it.
did some checking. i was told on saturday but forgot. mike now weighs 460. for an animal that is expected to reach around 600-700 lbs, that cat is gonna get a lot bigger! btw, was also told that he has a relative that is 800 pounds. big boys run in the famiily!
