:geaux::crystal::helmet: Totally agree. He had a lot more fire and emotion last year. If this years 7 -5 don't light him up, I don't know what will. Although if he looks at the second half of the season he may just throw up instead of getting fired up. Like a previous post said, just seemed like CLM, and the team, were just flat and felt like there was nothing else to prove after the NC. Just kinda rested on their laurels, enjoying the "afterglow". Once the necessary changes are made though, I'm confident CLM will turn it aroung in '09. I think we'll see a little more fire on the sideline. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

Im hoping this was just a one time learning experience for Miles and the team, and that complacency doesn't become the norm after big seasons.

:geaux::crystal::helmet: Reminds you of 2004, the year after the last NC. Same type of no fire attitude but better results, 9 - 3 vs 7 - 5. The team and staff may have gotten a little complacent while all our opponents were giving their very best shot. We'll should be better next year as long as the necessary changes are made this year. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

Actually I attributed the last half of the season and the losses, especially to Iowa... on the shoulders of Saban who was leaving for the NFL, and seemed more content with doing car commercials than coaching football. Seems even he got distracted and football at LSU took a back seat to his ambition.
Something regardless of how this year turns out for Bama, they better watch out for next season. I can see them dropping 3-4 games next season, while we roll to a 12-0 or 11-1 season mark.

:geaux::crystal::helmet: I think the Iowa loss was tied to Saban's departure, although LSU certainly should have won that game. The first half of that game was horrible and then a tremendous comeback in the second half. Definitely not the way Nick wanted to go out. Don't know if 'Bama will be down or not, but I sure hope we're better than 7 - 5! This season just made me sick and I really don't know if I could take another one like this in '09. 12 - 0 or 11 - 1 would be great, but as long as we get better I'll be happy. We just got worse as the season went on this year. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

Herbstreit at ESPN reported that Miles was going to Michigan, too. Les has been know to make fools of reporters that get ahead of the story.

:geaux::crystal::helmet: You're right Red. CLM sure did make Herbie the Talking Head look bad last year! :hihi: I really hope he doesn't make a liar out of 'em this time though, 'cause we need a change for the better at DC. Chavis will be a big pluse for LSU, IMO. :geauxtige:champs::helmet:
