Monday, 01 December 2008 17:44 Sources tell TigerGumbo.com that the dominoes in the LSU football coaching staff could start tumbling very soon. A source close to Tennessee defensive coordinator John Chavis tells TigerGumbo that a deal to make him LSU's new defensive coordinator could be imminent. http://www.tigergumbo.com/index.php/blog/505-blog-chavis-soon-to-be-new-defensive-coordinator Then this: Tuesday, 02 December 2008 19:11 LSU coach Les Miles is scheduled to meet with reporters at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss matters surrounding the program. This is not a news conference, and no announcement of decisions regarding the future of the LSU coaching staff is expected. This is a semi-informal media gathering of print and Internet reporters (no cameras allowed) similar to the one Miles usually holds on Sundays during the regular season. While Miles frequently speaks off the record in these gatherings, we'll give you a synopsis of what he says on the record immediately after the gathering and will have a full story before tipoff of tonight's LSU-Cal State Fullerton men's basketball game. http://tigergumbo.com/index.php/blog/508-miles-to-meet-with-reporters-today
Can't wait to hear what was said... although it may take a cereal box spy series decoder ring to figure it all out.
I liked this post: I still can't find any confirmation. I hope at least some of it is true. Meanwhile, not to be out done, Saban announces he has taken job at Miss. State... :hihi:
found something on the revellie but basically miles didn't say anything other than changes will be made. none right now and also that he would support any coaches looking to leave in order to advance their carreers (coach stud?? crowton???)
"I'm not going to address other issues at this point," Miles said. "I'm just going to operate from the premise that there are going to be some adjustments made, without question. First and foremost, attitude. First and foremost, doing the right things. I think we will in the short-term." http://www.lsureveille.com/sports_update_miles_hints_at_coaching_staff_changes_5_13_p.m. I'm not sure the cereal box decoder ring could decipher Les' statement.

Miles met with the media to discuss the Arkansas loss and plans for bowl game preparation. After a five-loss season, many fans have speculated that co-defensive coordinators Doug Mallory and Bradley Dave Peveto could be on the way out. Miles did his best to limit the rampant rumors of impending changes with an opening statement that touched on the speculation. "I'm not going to address other issues at this point," Miles said. "I'm just going to operate from the premise that there are going to be some adjustments made, without question. First and foremost, attitude. First and foremost, doing the right things. I think we will in the short-term." Miles clarified that "short-term" means before the bowl game. He also said he would support coaches who may be pursuing jobs that allow for career advancement. When asked if any coaches had asked permission to interview for outside jobs, Miles said he could not comment.
