And that is what I love about this area when Bama loses. These people are so highly invested (with 70% being sidewalk alumni) in their team and their coach that one loss creates such an upheaval in the fan base. They cling to that Bama bandwagon with a vice like grip until they drop a game or two and then they flame out like a supernova. Up here I call it the folding of the flags and it sure is fun to watch. All year long they fly those flags on the roof of every vehicle. It increases until the season starts. When the unthinkable happens, about 50% of the flags come down off those cars. A second loss and 50% of the remaining flags come down. After that it's just a couple of people left who have nowhere else to put the flags ... It's a game, it's entertainment and there's is nothing you can do to change or affect the outcome or results of the team. To have such an emotional investment in something over which you have no control that you drive yourself to breakdown or heart attack ... well that just don't seem very smart. But it sure is fun to watch.
I will have to say for the rest of this season I am for Miss State . Can't be for bama with fans like this LOL Auburn I am not for them , . At least the Miss State team is playing the way I want to see this LSU team play , I hope next season when we play them they are undefeated . Then we can get a bit of payback. Because this Tiger team was the better team on that field . We saw two Tiger teams from LSU in two games . The Miss State game and the Auburn game . One never gave up. The other team never showed up to play . Which one shows up today ?? I tried to put a link in it just left a big empty space so I edited and removed the link . (2nd edit ) yep that was it .
