Hospitals should have some kind of backup system. I don't know anybody with a land line but no way to call somebody's cell. I've been trying and all I get is "Subscriber cannot be reached at this time. Try your call later."
My boss lives down that way heard from him this morning. Not since.he said rain was terrible and I can tell you hasn't stopped since yesterday. So not surprising that phones are down
Its not that the cell towers are down. They are overloaded with all the people trying to call both in and out of Houston.. The cell provuders need to bring in some portable towers luke they do at Tiger Stadium on game nights.
That area is flooding pretty bad. That's the area that has seen over 20 inches. So sorry - hope you can get in touch soon
We have had over 12 inches here in College Station. We were pretty dry so we haven't flooded but the creeks are filling up. We are expected to get a whole lot more still. I probably should go ahead and cancel my hotel room for Saturday - they will not play that game in Houston
You butthole. Now there will be 40 inches of rain Saturday in Baton Rouge or wherever they move the game. NEVER MENTION SOFTBALL IN MY PRESENCE AGAIN!
