He would eat my goats which are easier to catch. The antelope run faster than 45 mph. I know this cause I chased them on the atv. And they were pulling away from at me 45 mph.
This has just been insane. Last Thursday, there were plenty of projections of 30 - 50 inches of rain in the Houston Metro area; this was from the National Hurricane Center. I understand the danger of putting 6 million people on the roads, but has this been better? I guess time will tell. The school districts up here in North Texas are being told to prepare for an influx of storm victims enrolling. It's just like Katrina, all over, but with more people.
How many times do they cry wolf and nothing happens. That is why people don't heed the warnings. But I contend where would all these people go. There were better than 20 M people affected. Hell I live about 100 mIles from the coast and caught over 28 inches .
Those "students" need to brush up on their English. Learn to say something beside "No habla Eenglish."
When Katrina hit, we got a number of students from New Orleans. My Hispanic students have a better command of English than most of those kiddos had. One young man came into my 7th grade English class that year and announced that he was 15. Then, he proceeded to ask the class how many of them were 15....none were; they were all 12 or 13 at the most. He couldn't believe how young they were (meaning the right age to be in 7th grade.)
