I don't think he's worried about his starting position, either. He's clearly the starter, and after seeing Jennings all of last year, Harris should be the starter. He's much more composed and does a better job.

Slightly off subject but it does continue to amaze me how composed and talented other teams' backup QB's look against us. I am not saying we played against Tom Brady but that Syracuse kid was not bad.

underestimation by coaches and players. Syracuse had some athletes on defense and offense.

It's so funny to me. I was talking to a Bama fan today who is pissed because they are passing so much and not pounding the rock up the middle to wear out their opponents.

I think Harris is exactly where he needs to be in terms of how many passes he's throwing now. Could we sling it around -- yes, but then we'd have people on here pissed that we're throwing too much just like my Bama friend.

Is the glass half empty or half full?

True our fans are still clinging onto not having a reliable passing games in past years and letting that get in the way of what our main strengths are this year and that is OL and RBs. I do feel that Harris is better than what we have had in past years and could be relied on more so than the others given we are forced to pass a bunch.

BTW, I think UGA fits right in with what Bama wants and needs to do this weekend. They can load the box and stop the run and not worry about the duel threat spread that always gives Bama fits. Lets see if they have enough offense and if the defense can contain Chubb just enough to win.

Do you not agree that at some point this season Harris is gonna have to win one with his arm?

I don't know if he'll have to win one, but I'd bet in at least a couple games the passing game will have to contribute more in order for LSU to win. I think it will/should be more like converting 3rd downs, keeping drives alive and keeping the defense honest rather than taking over the game and having to win it.

Short passes on 1st and 2nd keeping the offense out of 3rd and long situations. Spreading the ball around to RBs, WRs and TE making the defense cover everything instead of the limited passing playbook. Those two things will help Harris manage the game, move the offense and keep the defense fresh without having the pressure of having to win the game. I think he is up to the challenge if the staff puts together a gameplan that helps him.

He could...and I am confident he has the tools to give it a nice shot.
