Harris has physical skills that Jennings doesn't. Coach Jennings up all you want but that won't make him faster or give him a stroger arm. Harris just needs to lean to take some of the heat off his short passes and use more touch.
your answer here is the actual answer to your other question. this is why harris' stats are not great. he hasnt been needed playing with leads. I think Harris has the moxie to light up a team as he gets more development. USCe and UF will test us and put him under the gun. we will find out soon enough. but yeah the coaches need to work him in more but les is les.
I'm not going to take a lot from this game either way. Quite a few months ago I warned about this game. They are always tough in that dome and especially against teams that are supposed to win big. Glad we got the W.
WR's really haven't helped Harris and they didn't help Jennings last year. HOWEVER, Harris is not making costly mistakes. Pretty huge. He is doing what is asked. He could have easily had 200+ today but it is what it is. He didn't miss as bad as he did some of the throws vs AU.
True, Durall missed one that was on his hands and Diarse missed a couple although they were both coming in hott. Had some mustard on em. Hope they all get better.
I'll be the first to admit I was expecting more from Harris. I do feel though that the play calling is a part of it because he has too much pressure to produce in his few opportunities. That said, he still has to step up. His read progressions take too long. He is too slow to throw and has missed out on TD's because of that. Agreed, the receivers must step up big time. They have had far too many drops in just three games.
