I'm not going to compare the first 3 games because of what happened with McNeese, so let's do 1st OOC game and first 2 SEC games.

Jennings - 479 yards passing on 27 for 57, 47% completion. 2 TD's 0 interceptions. Add on 11 yards rushing with no TD's. Big stat, 1 win 2 losses, however Leonard Fournette didn't have 600 yards rushing either.

Harris - 303 passing yards on 29 for 47, 61% completions. 3 TD's 0 interceptions, and add 2 rushing TD's on 114 yards. 3-0 and yes, Leonard Fournette has crushed it.

The 3 things that jump out, completion percentage, rushing, and wins and losses, but you really can't count the Auburn game against Jennings last year. Other than that, they have similar numbers. Very pedestrian. Harris is obviously the guy but you gotta wonder why both have been handcuffed.

Does anyone, anyone think this is going to beat the big boys?

That's why stats can be misleading. lf7 crushing it means a lot. Harris has performed much better and has been very effective and productive. Look at the passes he threw for first downs and TDs. Look at the passes he threw when Fournette went out and we needed a score. Harris got it.
I am feeling much better that Harris can do what is required if we need him.

I'm not trying to knock Harris, he has far exceeded my expectation with poise alone. I'm just wondering if the Les Miles filter is why they have similar stats.

No doubt. Not only that, he's more of a threat with his feet, too.

My guess it's LF7. Harris's completion rate is 61%. IMO if we didn't have Fournette we would be passing more and the difference would be obvious.

I'm not sure it's fair to compare one running last year's offense to the other running this years offense. However it should be clear to everyone that Harris should have received more playing time to prepare him for this season. This season's OL looks to be better run blockers and Fornette is a much better RB than he was the first 3 games last year. I think we are better at QB, but I still feel like it is in spite of the coaching staff.

I just wonder if Jennings is really that bad or if quarterbacks just take forfuckingever to get their legs under them with Miles as the head coach. Remember how meh Mettenberger was his first year as the starter?

The low number of passes through 3 games alone is a factor in speaking of percentages. Sample size...

??????? Harris's improvement is significant. Believe me without coaching he'd be the nearly same as last year.
