I will punch an old lady if Miles pulls Harris after a so/so/bad game after making me watch Jennings all damn year and JJ in 2011. Absolutely punch the nearest old lady.
You don't live in Avoyelles Parish do you? Just wanna make sure you don't catch it a store or something and punch my grandma because it's gonna happen bro.
The 2 back to back INTs against Bama doomed Lee. Lee was very good when he had time. He did not handle pressure well.
I think the situation is probably more clear cut than any of us think or are being told. From all the news out of camp, Harris is clearly the better QB at this time. Hindsight being 20/20 we also know that Harris had a bad high ankle sprain last year that kept him from the line up as much as his immaturity. I'd be surprised if we see Jennings at all this year unless Harris is injured. I also do not see the correlation between 2011 and now. Different QB's, different coordinators and offensive schemes.
Brandon needs to have success in this first game to build his and Les' confidence. This is where Cam comes in with his play calling.
not much on the Cam front, Miles will pull Harris pretty fast, because a upper classmen is sitting behind him. Its pretty easy to read the past.
I honestly do not feel like this is the same situation as JJ / JL. If it is, I think Harris plays the part of JJ not JL. JL got the start in 2008 and struggled. JJ got the start that bowl game and from then on out until his arrest. I think CLM thought JJ gave LSU a better chance to win after JL's 8-5 season. I think CLM thinks Harris gives LSU the best chance to win after AJ's 8-5 season. I also think the gap between AJ and BH is much larger than CLM is leading on. I think he likes to keep it close because he fears that once Harris feels like the job is all his he will let his foot off the gas in trying to improve. I think Harris will struggle at times this year (he is a true sophomore in a the deeply talented SEC West) and LSU's system is the most pro style like system and most difficult for a young QB to navigate (hence why the RG3's and Johnny Footballs lay eggs in the NFL when they go to full blown pro style systems). But I also think Harris will shine at times as well and he will improve week after week and I am excited to watch. Just listening to Harris talk about football shows some of his development. Talks about not going for the homerun play every snap, checking it down, getting the ball to his playmakers, managing the game, leading the offense, etc. Talking time is over, now its time for action.
