Its not a suggestion, he has clearly been the better QB in practice. The run basically the same plays against the scout team as they run in the game. These high throws we've seen in games is not how he looks in practice and our scout team is in now way crappy players. Play calling in last weeks game started with passes that he over threw and made the wrong reads. At this stage of his development the coaches should not have to hide him, he needs to make those passes and reads in a game situation and he's not.
You may very well be right that Harris shines in practices, but I'm wondering how does anyone other than coaches and players know as I thought that practices were closed. ExoticGlass1 --- Please don't take any offense with my questioning your post. I'd simply like to know how do you know about what goes on in practices.
It seems like you're saying he doesn't play as well in games as he does in practice. So it isn't that he sucks, it's that he can't play under pressure?
He's probably not allowed to be hit in practice, so it's essentially a pitch and catch session. When he steps out on the field for real, it's Game Time and he folds.
I'm not sure I would say the pressure of the game, first offensive series last Saturday didn't seem like he was under much pressure, how high were those throws? I've seen him actually play really well in games last year where you'd think the pressure was greater on him. Who knows what's going on in his head, CLM sure doesn't seem to know and that's why he's given him so many chances.
