wrong. the bama thing is irrelevant in the grand scheme. everyone is losing to bama except urban and freeze. chavis is the reason les was able to get by with a non-existent passing game multiple years allowing us to beat lesser teams consistently by simply running it up the middle. this is what kept les' deficiencies hidden from those who simply look at the overall record. we'll be lucky if aranda can come close to matching it. chavis had the top ranked defense in the league on his way out. and we were ranked 109th of 127 teams in passing. He got tired of Les' shit just like we had long ago. Who can blame him.

Sorry misread your comment, never mind. Well not looking for a top ranked defense yet jury still out on Aranda and our players. Just do many here has been blaming Aranda already such as Tap.
Aranda will be fine. LSU has only 1 game under a new scheme, they're still in a learning curve. I think we'll see improvement on defense as each game comes and goes. Another season or 2 of Aranda getting a few of his recruiting classes in and we'll see the real dividends. But it's futile, the D can pitch shutout after shutout for 3 qtrs. of play, if the O can't move the ball consistently, the D will be gassed by the 4th qtr.
