He would be ideal for Auburn's offense.

Miles has his hand in the offense regardless of who is the OC. That's the biggest issue

I have only been confident with two qb's under Miles, Flynn & Mett. They were successful because they have QB smarts. Mett can make every throw on the field so play calling is a little easier, not to mention the receiver corp he had. Every other QB had to be taught to play the position and everyone fell short, that's on coaching. Mett & Flynn made Miles look good. He is a one dimensional coach, run the ball. Every OC under him has had to eat that philosophy because he will not allow them to coach any other way. They collect a big check and only have to use half the playbook, easy money. I was never a fan of Cam because I fail to see where he has developed any QB worth getting excited about. I'm off the wagon time to move on, not only do we have a problem with admin and coaching, we consistently recruit qb's that are wrong for us.

You really believe LSU shouldn't be better than a top 25 program? Is it because of the politicians? If so, I have to admit of late that's hard to dispute.

What's with these Australian punters? This guy we have now can't punt 25 yards to save his life. Wisconsin had great field position all game long.

I agree that if your qb skills need to be utilized in the offense. For Harris it would be more rolling out plays, options, bootlegs, etc.
But he has to at least be competent at passing in the pocket or non throwing side, which he is not. LSU can't be boxed in at just passing the ball with Harris rolling out to the right, just as you can't force him to be something he is not, a pocket NFL style QB.

I think the question is, is it Miles being hard headed and thinking that keeping the offense simplified will help he QB or is it Cameron. I've certainly seen more creative offense from CC while at LSU when Metts was here. Or is it that Harris can't handle a more complicated offense where decisions and reads need to be quick.

I think it is Miles and I think it is Harris can't handle a more complicated offense. However, I think an offense needs to fit Harris better and his skill sets, which is not happening. Options, read options, rolling out passes, bootlegs, would be more suited for Harris and should be worked in and these types of plays aren't that complicated. It's almost like they don't want to give him too many options in a particular play because his decision making isn't there. On the last play the other night, I think this is a valid point. That was about as bad as it could get.

Yeah I think I agree with this after last season and the start of this one. I think he has been a bit more hands off the prior years. It's like he is trying to protect and hide the QB's from having to make too many decisions because they suck at them. He has them run a simple offense to limit the options and decisions they need to make. Instead he needs to use plays that will fit their skill sets. If you fear the decisions that your QB will make because of their decision making ability or lack thereof, then you need to get another QB.
