same here. about the only guy that was left on espn without an ego or a need for a schtick. kruk is old school and those who didnt follow baseball when he played are annoyed by him but he's ok, well at least with HR. Now, we're stuck with freaking mullet brantley from moo u and steve phillips (martian's idol) advising us what gm's should do before the break to make a run for the WS. thats like enron giving us quarterly stock advice. ever since mickey mouse became ceo of this place it surely has begun to suck much more than it already had been production wise.
A good replacement for Reynolds would be Keith Moreland. He knows college baseball and is a pretty good broadcaster these days. I always enjoy listening to him.
I won't watch ESPN aside from their live events. Stuart Scott and his clones have ruined Sportscenter, and they now have roughly 18 shows that involve crusty, mean, loud newspaper writers yelling at each other. How hypocritical is it to fire Harold Reynolds for harassment, when Steve Phillips left the Mets for the exact same reason? Essentially they hired a KNOWN harasser and adulterer. And Steve Phillips sucks at analysis too. BTW, I thought Harold Reynolds was an idiot and a total Derek Jeter jocksniff, but he looked like a Rhodes Scholar compared to Phillips, Kruk and Brantley.
That's freaking awesom! I hate that arrogant fatass. And I've never been lucky enough to tune in when he gets beat.
airing sept 16th or 18th, not sure which, a fellow named chad will stump the schwab. find a casino and bet on it, you will be rich. in fact, the schwab is on a terrible run and has been getting beaten like crazy in the latest tapings. i think my friend said he had gone down like 5 times in maybe 15 tapings. my other friend sat next to schwabs dad in the crowd and the dad murmured with sadness and quietly moped as the schwab crashed and burned.
ive seen him beat but i never found him arrogant. hes just rather quiet and unsociable but seems like a decent dude just nerdy with sports info. thats badass. hard to beat him for sure. i figured ur friends name was steinly. what did he win? is it like 5k or something? i cant remember what they win. date with linda cohn? a glass eye from stuart scott?

yeah i like the schwab. i am so unsociable myself i can barely deal with anyone who isnt like the schwab. the guy who went on the schwab is my friends sister's boyfriend. he came to town last summer and we all went to a mets game. he was amazing, he would tell me all sorts of ridiculously obscure things about the mets, and he isnt even a mets fan and i dont think he had ever been to new york before. at the time i said he knew far more about sports than anyone i had ever met. you have to be a real sports-knowledge monster to beat the schwab. the thing is, i could beat the schwab on lsu basketball or the modern mets, but to beat the schwab you have to know everything. in the qualifier test, my pal was quizzed on ice skating! thats hard. i think he won a little money, like 2500. he returned for a second day and lost to another who also went on to beat the schwab. people are lighting up the schwab this season.
