Not sure what the Chargers did with all their picks. They didn't have a pick in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round so they had to trade a 5th round pick and next year's 2nd to get Hester. That was a steep trade. Makes Hester look like a high 2nd round pick this way. I think they got a great player but it was quite expensive. Now they are down on their picks in next year's draft.

some might think so, but growing up their and new orleans, I was for sure in Louisiana.

Back to Hester: he will prove to be a good pick because of his versatility. I think he is a decent blocker as well. He is smart enough to learn that offense to perfection which will earn him alot of playing time.

    No, but Vinton is.

Glad to see Buster will have some company over there on the left coast. So many people doubted Hester, I'm glad to see someone who believes in him.

I've said for a while now that Hester should go in the 3d or 4th round. The only knock on him I could see is he relative lack of NFL size and speed but when he ran down that db in the, I think, Bama game that sold me that Hester is just as fast as he needs to be.

My prediction now is that he's going to "disappear" for a year or two, maybe more, while he works on special teams, learns the Chargers' offense and adjusts to life as a pro player. He'll be the Chargers' version of Kevin Faulk.

And he gets to visit London this fall.

Probably exactly what he will be. A third down back with hands and maybe he will come in as an H-Back, but I doubt he will ever be a real fullback.

Plus, they probably traded up because they a save a roster spot on special teams.

Good for Hester, he deserves to go to a team where he can be a success. Was BS'ing with some of my old pals this weekend and made the prediction that whoever drafted Hester would go to and win the Super Bowl within the next 2 yrs. Something about those LSU players that seem to change the outcome of games that makes the difference. Especially over the past 7-8 yrs.

I'm Probably The Most Excited Bolt Fan About Having Him....There's A Certain Percentage Of Bolt Fans That Are Unsure About Him But I'm Telling Em "Man, This Guy Is RAW!!!"

I Think He'll Be The Perfect Replacement For Michael Turner
