    What BS Red? He is just quoting CBO stats. You normally are very good at proving points and not making personal attacks. It seems in this argument, you are short on the former and have resorted to the latter.

    You're off your rocker. Supa made a claim and backed it up with fact. You are trying to change his claim. The highest earners pay the highest effective tax. That is a fact. And it was proven. Stop trying to change the argument.

    No. It's simply that I don't care what anybody else's tax liability is. I think everyone is overtaxed. Even the bottom quintile who get the earned income credit end up paying too much when the whole sphere of taxation is considered.

    You keep driving the point the rich are somehow using the tax code to get richer, or that the lower effective rates mean they aren't paying their fair share. The numbers don't support those points.
