If he scored on that I think he would have a legit shot at the Heisman. The question is who is the better return man, Peterson or Mathieu? I think I'd rather have Mathieu back there if a spark was needed like the last 2 weeks
Agreed. He had the final block had he recovered from that shoestring tackle. As others have said, I also compared his moves to the one they keep showing for Trent --- Honey Badger got mad skills! :LSU231:
I still say if Mathieu had never been suspended and had the game Brooks had vs Auburn, he would be the Heisman favorite.
The R-kansas dood had a nice one too a few weeks back, but Mathieu seemed to be able to grease his way through 9-10 different defenders before barely going down.
I agree. That's the one I would compare against this one. But once Adams got out of the mess initially, he was home free I believe. This was craziness the entire way down the field for Tyrann. For that reason, this one trumps it if it had gone the distance. His went the distance.
Imagine how yesterday's game would have turned out had they reviewed and overturned Mathieu's touchdown. That really turned the momentum. Do you think the Tigers still would have rolled in the second half? They obviously were the better team, and had worn the Bulldogs down, but the feel of the game would have definitely been different heading into the second half.
they said they would have maybe invoked the illegal forward pass rule as he pitched it forward towards the ref crazy as that sounds, LSU could have been assessed a 10 yard penalty from the 1 and had it first and 1 from the 11 yard line. LSU probably steam rolls in from there running the ball.
