It's nothing mechanical it's mental. Throwing off your back foot, throwing into double coverage, not going through the progressions, throwing the ball late, that's all mental.

Miles is not losing the team, did you even watch the game yesterday? The team played their azz off. The WR's are getting very frustrated and don't seem to go all out all the time but everyone else had it in high gear all game long against Bama. The team also knows that it's the QB not the coaching staff and if there was a better option that option would be under center. Miles losing the team, where in the world did you get that from?

So its been mental since Auburn?

I meant to put Lee instead of Miles.
Thats not always true. And players might have seen something that the coaches dont want to admit.

There is just something that just does not add up with this whole thing.

    Jefferson is a scholly player.
At the begining of the year he was gonna redshirt.
Burned his redshirt against North Texas.
Is gonna apply for a medical hardship after getting hurt against MSU.
A couple of weeks later Hatch gets hurt.
Jefferson is NOW physically able to play.
Jefferson suppose to get snaps against Tulane...That didnt work out.
Jefferson as told by Miles in PC JJ will step in Hatches role....hasnt happened
Lee has WORSE Looking game yet.....Jefferson doesnt see the field.

To me something is just not adding up somewhere.

Yes it has. Some kids learn quick, some slow and some not at all. Lee has made no improvement what so ever and continues to make the exact same mistakes over and over again. The things I listed are indeed mental and most of his problems can be directly attributed to those. You expect a young QB playing the level of competition he has faced to make big improvement over the season. He has made none! I agree it's time to play Jefferson some especially since we burned his RS for no apparent reason. I don't think you will see an improvement in the passing game however, otherwise he would be playing already.

I don't know if he's losing the team, but some of the players are not putting forth a full effort.

For example, the pick six. I was with about 12 people watching the game, and we ALL noticed that LaFell's attempt to tackle the Bama player consisted of throwing a fore arm at him. We all screamed bloody hell. Its like he gave up cause Lee threw another pick.

Usually pick sixes happen on an out route that a cb jumps the play on with no one in front of you to tackle you. But on a 15-20 yd pass up the middle, there is no excuse for letting that player score.

I hope im wrong, but i think we might be like Bama was last year and go into a downward spiral after this loss. LSU put so much into that game yesterday and just gave it to Bama. Bama did not beat us, LSU beat us.

It's gonna be hard for them to get up for Troy next week. If LSU doesn't show up to play, they will lose.

I'm not buying it. I think the team watches game film and sees an LSU team that gave the #1 team in the nation all they could handle and feel they should have won. I think the defense gains great confidence with the game and continues to improve. We will continue to struggle however because we have no QB and are capable of giving the other team points on any given play when our offense is on the field. Ole siss should be our only tough game down the stretch.

Ur right, they should be. The ONLY reason i THINK we might lose to Troy is because we are playing them after an emotional loss. This should be our bye week, which WAS a perfect week to have one.

I know it's gonna be tough, but LSU has to put this loss behind them and focus on Troy. You know the Troy coach is gonna remind his players what ULM did to Bama last year after they lost a highly emotional game to LSU.

But thats just it. The entire team played their asses off and the mistakes of one player and a coach that refuses to correct the situation is gonna eat away at these guys.

This could get really bad quick if it hasnt already.

I agree that Lee is the problem. I also agree that JJ should get some reps. However Miles obviously doesn't have the tools to fix the problem or he would. Both Miles and Crowton are smart guys that know offense. If they had a better guy he would be playing, surely you know that. Since when has Miles been conservative? JJ's not playing because he is even less ready that Lee. Everyone is correct in saying he can't do worse, that's pretty much a no brainer. JJ should get reps if for no other reason than for a change of pace(option plays) and to see if he improves. But to say we are losing because JJ is not playing or that we are better off with JJ playing is total nonsense, Miles and Crowton are the experts here and know better who gives them the best chance a victory. Who has seen more of Lee and JJ than Miles and Crowton? Who is better qualified to make that call?

I agree with all of that.

What I am trying to speak to is the mentality of the other players.

Can you imagine what was told to the defense this week...I think it was proably something like this.

"Guys we have not been playing our best on both sides of the ball, but we have really been letting the offense down..so what do you say lets lay it out all on the line give 200% and if we can hold back Bama's offense we can give our offense a chance to win this thing"

And the defense did played very well and played well enough to let the offense win the game...BUT it didnt happen.

So how does that effect the players on defense?

HOW does this effect the Oline men who did a great job protecting Lee yesterday and some of them GOT HURT putting their bodies on the line for someone that can not win a game if left up to him...how do they look at this?

This is gonna start to effect these guys and when it does this team is gonna start to fall apart.

Whats gonna happen against Troy when Lee throws a Pick 6? I could see the team just throwing up their hands and saying **** it!
