Miles will never have the respect of his players ever again and he shouldn't receive respect.

Recruits should resind their committments. Miles is a ego maniac who is nothing but a "soundbite" coach.

Bo Pellini directed LSU to the Championship and if Miles wasn't such a blowhard egomanical showboat and reacted to ESPN reports, he'd gone to Michigan and he'd be their problem.

A coach who denies responsibility and blames a player when video evidence clearly shows him calling for a spike with one second to play and not have his field goal team ready, a bona fide series of idiot coaching decision and then blames a player? Miles is a buffoon.

He should resign, but he has no class.

You're either drunk or inbred, perhaps both.

Honestly, Miles put that on himself. He deserves all the criticism and slamming he is currently getting. How the hell do you let the clock go down so far without calling a TO? THen you dont have another play either already called at the very least. Although the FG unit should have been ready on stand by. Thats just piss poor coaching, plain and simple. Its uncalled for at this level.

Or maybe, instead of blaming the coaches we should be blaming college football as a whole. Maybe their in the wrong for not using the same kind of play clock as some of the other sports like basketball where final seconds are measured in 1/10ths and not whole seconds... would've left a few 10ths on there after spiking the ball, then we'd have won... damn that college football.

I don't think anyone disagrees with the fact that CLM deserves all this criticism.

But there's such a thing as cutting off the nose to spite the face.

Calling for players to disown their coach and encouraging recruits to rescind their commitments…well, that’s really stupid.

I wouldnt call for it. On the other hand can you honestly say you wouldnt question Miles if he were your coach? The pathetic coaching at the end for one thing. Then the fact he throws his QB under the bus to make it worse. That cause to question your coach and wonder your commitment to a coach that wont put you in the best position to win. As well as throw you under the bus to save his ass. Miles has a lot of work to do to save this team and season. We have a hot and talented Arkansas team coming up. With a LSU team thats struggled horribly the last 3 weeks. After this week we will have a ton of media swirling with questions that wont make it easy to focus. This next game will really tell a lot about Miles and where the team is heading.

Yeah...I guess you're right...I would question him if he were my coach.

In fact, I'd probably wait for the next team meeting and then raise my hand and say,

“ Damn coach, you really screwed up at Ole Miss...WTF were you smoking ???

But that's just one of the many reasons I'm not an elite SEC football player.

These athletes don't get to where they are by being sh*t-stirrers. They understand that you have to flush the mistakes - your own mistakes, fellow player mistakes, and yes - even coaches mistakes. You flush them and then move on.

Plus, they won't have to ask because I'm pretty certain that CLM will let them know that it's on him, not them. He has already said as much in his interview last night (but recognizing that fact runs counter to the “bus-thrower” crowd…so they ignore it.)

Criticism and name calling are two separate things. Criticizing his clock skills and calling for the spike is well noted. Calling anyone a buffoon or idiot, etc. is a completely different animal. But I get it. It's "venting" and I guess that's what Al Gore's intenetion of the internet were designed for.

I missed the part where he threw everyone under a bus, I think. That's definately not cool, if true. It could damage the undercarriage or bust a radiator.

I have hacked into the server and created a self-refreshing script of all threads on the main forum. Feel free to save the link of you like. This is a list of stuff you can't start a thread on. Feel free to start a thread on anything else relating to LSU Sports.
