Re the home cooking, officiating has been discussed in other threads. Perhaps with a primetime, national audience viewing, we will see a properly called game. I would think that the SEC doesn't want a fiasco on its hands. :geauxtige
PAIN!! LSU is going to rammer jammer that yellow hammer right up BAMA's ASS!! They will need to bring the red cross back to help those left behind from the utter destruction of Bryant-Denny after Tiger Nation comes through. Maybe they should leave the mothers, girlfriends and children at home for this one. There is no way to measure the brutal physical play that will be displayed in this game. These two teams are sick of hearing about each other, they hate each other as it is. Neither feel respected enough for one reason or another and want to prove who is better. Even though I feel both teams role deep in talent, the main difference is LSU uses all of it. LSU is a constant rotation all the way through the roster with very little to no drop off and stay fresh all game where as BAMA seems to use a much smaller rotation so less players with the experiance for a BIG game like this. I think this will play a big role. I'm not saying that BAMA is a one headed monster but Richardson is what makes them go and by the fourth quarter after being rode all game I see LSU's D bringing it to him more than him taking it to us. I will be very surprised if lsu walks over bama like they did all the other games this year. Bama is in our class, the others weren't. We will have to fight like hell to win this one, as will they. If anyone thinks we will walk all over this Alabama team like we did auburn, you are mistaken. Lsu will win if hey don't turn the ball over and tackle well. If we tackle like we did aginst cam last year in the au game, we will lose. We will have to play great football on both sides. Bama will have to play their best game of the year. These are the two best teams in college football. No one team will own the other. Get ready for a white knuckle ride.
My gut feeling right now. I'm going to go insane I can't wait another week for this game. These games on today mean nothing and do nothing to take my mind off next week. I have rewatched all of our games and a couple of Bama's and I have very little doubt of the outcome as long as we protect the ball. I'm like a lil kid waiting for xmas and ready to unwrap a bloody beat down on the tide on the 5th.
IF it wasn't for our suck ass Offense last year .. we'd a beat AU last year. Thank God Crowton is fricken GONE GONE GONE!! I don't expect us or anyone else to just walk all over Bama .. they are as you say, in our league. But, while my model puts it at a 1 point game LSU wins ... I don't think it'll be quite that close.
