what you said man but i've got to correct you. it's not 11 men LSU has it's all them young men that are very capable of going against bama and giving them all they want and then some. we have an offense this year and our defense is better than last years. i have a very good feeling about nov. 5th and i'm seeing lsu by 10 at least probably 13, thats my new lucky number. and as far as them hawgs go, we're gonna do them like we did WV. GEAUX TIGERS L!S!U! KNOW WHAT PISSES ME OFF? we skull frick the same teams bama has and then some but when bama beats them its "aw this bama teams dominating this ________ team!" when it's LSU doing it it's" aw this______ team is'nt firing on all cylinders and LSU is getting all the lucky breaks" ain't that some bull****!? :crystal:
It's waiting on you in the "play twice" thread. No not willing to compare LSU's defense, to this year's vols, without losing whatever credibility I've accumulated in TigerLand and then there should be a mandatory drug test involved. AJ is not G-Mac, with his conservative approach to game planning. McCarron can air it out and is unafraid. Teams have not tried to stare down our running game, as in past years, because of it.
I also like our chances if two things happen in addition to normal play we've seen this year. 1. O-line plays strong 2. LB crew has a good game.
Like Gary Danielson said after your first game -- "Alabama looked impressive against Kent State". You guys have been mainlining koolaid since that weekend. Danielson probably said something similar after the North Texas game. The only real competition Bama has had this year is PSU. That was a good team and you played in their house and you beat them by 16. They are pretty good, Oregon is better and WV is about the same. LSU is better than them all and better across the board, not just in one phase. ldskule:
Don't know why the BCS 10th ranked team doesn't come to mind, especially since you will see them later on. But thanks for the editorial.
Yeah, Arky and Oregon are about even in terms of competition, although I think the ducks would beat the hogs if they played. However, I like our win better because of the neutral site, the adversity, and the personnel. It was also the first game of the year.
So .. IYO .. this years team has more experience! Fair enough. They did have a lot of returns this year. Noticed ya'll have more seniors and Juniors this year as compared to last year. But seriously, do you think in your heart of hearts that Bama has faced any credible offense this year other than AR, who's so one dimensional and has a sieve for a O-line?? I don't think LSU's defense has been seriously challenged either. It's the "winds of change" that have infected CFB ... all these pass happy teams, and spread offenses. Seems Bama and LSU are the only two teams left in the country that rely on the old tried and true power game. It's going to be a fun game to watch. As for McCarron ... I worry about him passing. He's still pretty young, and young QBs tend to make bonehead mistakes when they play upper tier competition [Just ask JLee .. he can tell you all about it .. he looked great in his first year until he hit the big games]. To say the least, Kent State, NT, Florida, Ol Miss, TN, Penn State, Vandy, even Arky .. these teams don't have stellar defenses. I know Penn gets a high rating, but I've run their numbers .. and those are all pretty much gimme games. Heck, probably the the stiffest defense any of us have faced has been FL, and ya'll ran up 38 points on them, and we ran up 41. It's really sad, that the SEC has sunk so low that only two teams stand out as being really good .... the rest, are no better than the rest of CFB, probably not as good. Clemson beat AU as I recall. Ol Piss has just about completely fallen apart, Vandy is on perpetual rebuild, GA seems to be showing some life .. FL can't get over its hangover with Tebo, TN .. well .. you know. SC "had" potential .. but that potential is out for the year with a knee injury. OH .. and I don't see you ever losing any stock on this board. We all respect you ... and we realize you have to stand up for your team. Heck .. if you didn't, you wouldn't be a "fan". Good on ya! :yelwink2: I still think we win it in the end though
One little thing you dont seem to understand..... we arent Tennessee. Some how I think our Defense is a tad niy more effective than the Vols.... ya think? lol
Yeah .. Bama has had a very interesting schedule this year. Kent State ... well no need to go into that. Penn State ... good Defense on paper, but their offense is abysmal. There defense is not as good as it looks on paper either. I attribute the low score by Bama against Penn to the QB competition. I think today, Bama would smoke them. Northtexas .... well ... ok ... that's a powerhouse team  Arkansas .... probably the most interesting. Offense is great on paper, but is so one dimensional, and susceptable to pressure that they are easily shut down. Even a wounded Ol Piss held them to nothing in the first half. But the real story for AR .. is they have no defense. They have no pass defense ... they have no run defense. Their only hope is to outgun the other team as they did with ATM. ...barely. If it were not for D. Johnson this past weekend all of the sudden comming to life, AR would be a 2 loss team right now. Florida. ... no doubt, the best team Bama has played. Gotta give Bama credit for shutting down Brantley and co., and their defense is pretty stout. Vanderbuilt ..... ranked 9th in the power rankings Ol Piss ... ranked last in the SEC power rankings TN ... ranked next to last in the power rankings. IF Bama couldn't look dominant against this bunch, they would not be ranked even in the top ten. OF Course .. LSU doesn't look much better. - The kicker ... OREGON ... oregon has the most potent and balanced attack of any team LSU or Bama has faced. We won. - Northwestern .... ok ..there's our Northtexas powerhouse. - MState ... for all their offensive woes .. MState has a pretty decent defense. .. ranked 19th in the naiton for points scored against. - WVU --- is our AR. ... one dimensional pass offense that can be shut down. Defense .. about the same. I'd say if AR played WVU .. they'd have a tie ballgame .... 75-75. - Kentucky ... is our Vandy - FL .. we can only take credit for our play against their defense, but it has to be stated .. our offense scored 41 vs Bama's 31 .. as 7 of Bama's 38 was a pick 6. - TN ---- we both played em' - Auburn ... not a huge contributor to our resume, but they are, considerably better than ol piss.
