http://www.ktbs.com/news/Gustav-aftermath-not-expected-to-affect-LSU-Troy-game-16417/  C'mon guys...let's do this thing!
I think you posted the wrong link. The video in that one was from before the meeting this evening. Your statement doesn't seem to match up with the link...?
States the vid was released some two hours ago, didn't know if it predated the link you posted. Take it for what it is worth but the link you provided states they are preparing unless otherwise told. No harm committed.
Nope..I was just wondering if there was more up to date news out there. I'm trying to get a hold of a someone who may have been in the meeting.
I'd say it's 60-40 with them not playing right now. Both teams have a common bye and LSU doesn't want a limited practice schedule to interfere with the season.
Limited practice schedule? What do you mean? Not playing this game will interfere plenty with the season. Our team, namely our QB's, need this game to get ready for AU. I think they would move it to Shreveport before they postponed it.
It just is kinda breaking the routine in that they did not practice Monday. Had a mickey mouse practice today in a roughed up indoor facility. I just do not know if LSU wants to play a game against a sleeper team like Troy (almost beat them in 2004) (hung with UGA last year) if they not 100% focused on the game. I also do not buy that LSU wants to play a ton of games before Auburn. A dress rehearsal or two is fine. But they also want as little as possible to be known about Hatch and Lee, also.
I just told you the reasons why they wouldn't play. The reasons why they would, would be: 1. What happens if LSU pushes back Troy and then Ike or something comes later? LSU would have already eaten their bye week/cushion week 2. The extra game to work out some kinks I do not know what method is best and I support any decision they make. I just am saying that from what I hear, Miles would rather push it back, but Alleva wants to play it. We will see who wins, I guess.
