this was a few weeks ago. But its amazing how the whole SEC just reloaded.
I still think firing Tubbs was a poor choice but Malzone is going to do what Tubbs tried to.
He will bring that crazy offense to the SEC. And sadly we better be ready for it load on on DBs

Someone mentioned it here in the Gene Chizik thread, and I'm surprised the news has failed to generate any chatter.

I would think Gus Malzahn (not Malzone) is a great hire by Auburn. He was OC of Arkansas when they won the SEC West in 2006. That same year, they were #30 in the NCAA in scoring offense and #29 in the NCAA in total offense. The year before Malzhan took over at Arkansas, they were #66 in NCAA in total offense, #65 in NCAA in scoring offense. Now Arkansas is #49 in NCAA in total offense, #91 in NCAA in scoring offense.

When Malzahn was OC of Tulsa (2007-2008), Tulsa finished:

2007 -- #1 in NCAA in total offense, #6 in the NCAA in scoring offense
2008 -- #1 in NCAA in total offense, #2 in the NCAA in scoring offense

Before Malzahn, Tulsa was:

2006 -- #24 in NCAA in total offense, #37 in NCAA in scoring offense
2005 -- #39 in NCAA in total offense, #23 in NCAA in scoring offense
2004 -- #74 in NCAA in total offense, #40 in NCAA in scoring offense
