correct LSU was NEVER in this there was just too much time to wait to get on the field (2 years) at LSU

Well, maybe at Vandy. :hihi: But seriously, you have to learn the system & adjust to the speed of the game no matter where you go. Guess he must be figuring he'll learn it all and be the starter after just ONE year. May or may not happen. But he's NOT going to have the chance to win championships at ND or Vandy like he would at LSU. Know Gunner was a long shot and wish he would've come here, but good luck none the less. Don't believe everything you read. Bogus... Reporters in Indiana say he hasn't narrowed it down yet and feel that LSU is very much in it. Many have said that if LSU was closer it would be no question LSU. Family really likes us and the reason they came back immediately after an unofficial to take an official visit. That doesn't happen if we aren't in it. Heard he was sporting a purple tie to his award banquet last night. haha I think we have a great shot but I have heard his parents run the show and like to keep their kids close. LSU is making them rethink that at this time. But it won't be easy. We should know fairly soon. Keeping it close to the vest. ND fans think he is headed to LSU and LSU fans think it would be a miracle to land him. Vandy is a sleeper who no one is really giving a shot.
I don't believe that Gunner has narrowed his list to Vandy and ND... SEC Twitter... did they indicate a source? Nobody has identified where this information came from- anyone can Tweet anything! The first one (Tweet) I saw that reported he had narrowed his choices was from a no-name from somewhere (not related to the "SEC Twitter")... and then two of their friends re-Tweeted after that- He is still down to three he had narrowed it to... ND, LSU, and Vandy, in no particular order. Geez I can't stand rumor-mongers and the people who perpetuate it. You see no confirmation from Rivals or Scout... ESPN many times simply reports rumors based off of what they can get as "news or controversy." I want to hear it from the family... LSU is very much alive- Even though I'm new here, I know that the family does not want drama. He will not narrow his list like "a countdown." It's not the way they are. I wouldn't lose sleep if he opted not to come here. We've been a bit of an afterthought for him and now that people are really taking notice of LSU, we suddenly come into his focus. Call me old fashioned, but I want kids that really really want t be here and have been thinking about playing for LSU long and hard.
still, we'll get mett for most likely two years unless he absolutely blows it up next year. we have randall who the coaches seem high on. Rivers still needs to develop. You have to think about the future. If we sign keil, then we'll be set for the next 3-5 years.
