I hate to derail an awesome thread, but since I have informed admin about the fact I can't PM, and they've (Brett) done nothing about it, I'll answer this right here. Admin, delete it if you want to...or maybe figure out why I can't PM. Wildcard, I'm not saying we can't be smart arses on the board. In fact, I like to read smart arse posts, and as you may have noticed, don't have any problem being a smart arse from time to time. My post in that other thread was directly in response to many of the newer members saying they were glad to see SF go, when in fact, they know very little of his contributions here at TF for YEARS. Many who have only been members for a month or so, or at least less than a year, were the ones who claimed to have him all figured out. SF is a smart arse extraordinaire, and I have no problem with smart arse-ed-ness. But many newer members didn't get his smart arse-ed-ness. They simply hadn't been around long enough to know WTF they were talking about. Prime example is the guy bitchin about him still clinging to Saban...:rolleye33: IMO, and this is to him as well, if people would keep political opinions out of the Den, there wouldn't be so much vitriol. I hate the fact that sports forums feel the need to include political discussion at all. Seems like ones opinion is formed about another on the political board, and then translates to the Den. Not many are able to seperate the two. SF is one that either could not, or chose not to. Many of the newer posters seem to fall into this category as well, and unfortunately (for TF), this seems to have led to the self bannage of a long time and very valued member of this forum. Now since it is the Christmas season and if you wanted to give yourself a present what better way than to give yourself a 6'6 foot, 220 lbs freak that runs a 4.43/40 to throw those passes to for the next 4 years. And considering he is a midwesterner like yourself he might feel at home going to the school you are now going to. I guess what I am saying, might be time to get on the phone and call Dorial Green-Beckham and try and convince him to follow you to LSU so he can win a couple of National Championships with you, instead of just watching them on TV when you are playing for them.!!!! :helmet: :LSU231:
I think there is probably a formula that can be created to judge a recruit's potential by the number of time's the rival's fans utter the phrase, "we stopped recruiting him". If the number of times bama fans are uttering this is any indication, Gunner is a great pickup. :rofl::wave: :wave: :wave:
