It needs to be tried again,.. I think a moderate Democrat possessing huge charisma, who will not kowtow or even be swayed by the extreme left has a shot,.. he'd need to draw good support from moderate and no-Trump repubs,.. he'd lose some dem extremist votes, but far left dems would probably still vote for him even if angry, they certainly won't vote for donald.
IMO, it will never work. It's too wishy-washy. By definition, they can't really stake a firm claim on anything. Saying you're a little of this and a little of that is not inspiring and it does give the sense that you could be easily swayed on major topics. At some level, it's about things like Constitutional rights, civil rights, choice, pro-life, government control, quality of life, etc. Most people want to know....are you going to make my life better or worse? Being in the middle answers nothing.
that's what everybody said when Trump declared for President c'mon girl, I'm trying to contrive a silver lining here,.. I still think it's possible, depends almost entirely on the candidate,.. sadly I don't see the charismatic leader that it would take.
I consider myself Libertarian, and look for opportunities to support guys like Rand Paul, but they're hard to find. And generally hard to elect. But i still try. Maybe i'm wrong, but i think most people would be classified as Libertarian if they took a test to identify their ideal political affiliation.
Everybody? Lavrentiy Beria, Stalin's chief of secret police: "Show me the man, and I'll find you the crime."
Treason? Good one. You want a candidate? Well career-climbing pencil-pushing perfumed prince, Admiral McRaven could be your boy.
the other one said rapist,.. Good one,.. thanks vball, you've been a good sport After his op-ed slamming Trump, the Navy SEAL who oversaw the Bin Laden raid is being eyed as a political contender for 2020 https://www.businessinsider.com/sea...med-trump-eyed-for-spot-on-2020-ticket-2018-8
