If someone can please go on tigerrag.com and copy the link for me, I would appreciate it. Really good article. Thanks, LPrimo for the link: http://www.theadvertiser.com/article...812150327/1006
Good article, I agree. But Guilbeau knows about as much about this process as you or I. He will play. He will have a very big role. The chances of him outright starting are very slim. Especially considering Jefferson's progression.
I would be very suprised if a true freshman with no SEC game experience replaced Jefferson as the starter. Then again, you never know. ldskule:
does he say what position he'll start in? because it won't be qb. or does he say which game he'll start in? no way shepard tops out lee and jefferson at qb at the beginning of the season.
yeah, that's not gonna happen because it might be lee or jefferson as well. they both started in their freshman seasons. i love shepard and think he's as good an athlete as everyone says, but his arm is not the caliber of jefferson's (yet) and certainly not the caliber of lee's. being a great runner doesn't equate to being a great qb as we all know.
Give him time. He can learn how to throw it to the other team too. To me, Jefferson's arm looked better than Lee's. His motion may not be good, but his passes are 1000 times more accurate so far from what I've seen. An arm is worthless if you can't hit or come close to a target. I hope he improves, but he was awful in the short passing game this year and that is LSU's bread and butter. We don't need a gigantic arm. We need a playmaker who can be accurate on short passes and let guys like LaFell, Toliver, etc., do the rest. It will likely be between Jefferson and Shepard next year.
