I've supported Miles for a long time now but after the bedshitting against Ole Miss, I've decided enough is enough. I've always been aware of Miles's shortcomings but in the end, I remember what the 90's were like. He is still an excellent coach but the schtick has worn thin. The bottom line is, I really don't enjoy watching the games much any more. It's absolutely maddening. A few examples:

    1. Penalties, my god the penalties. It's non stop and shows a lack of quality reps in practice.
    2. Miscommunications happen but they shouldn't out of a timeout or multiple times in a game.
    3. They called a screen thursday and the o-line acted as if they would be set on fire if they touched a d-lineman. No thought to selling the play at all. Just miscoached.
    4. We could go on and on about both offense and defense this year but I won't

I feel the imminent departure is bittersweet. I'm ready to see what another coach can do but I'm concerned we won't recruit as well or maintain what we have already. On top of that, Les is a good dude. I hope he sticks around and calls BR his home for the foreseeable future. He's always handled everything with class and has done a ton for our football team, and community.

But in the end, it's not enough. Gru, I'm ready to come home. Will you leave the light on for me?

Of course, but it's sort of sad, not you, just the whole thing. If only he'd just changed his way of thinking. It didn't have to be this way.

I don't think that CLM could have changed any more than he did. He gave us the best he had.

He'll land another gig quickly so no need to hang around BR.

Folks in South Carolina sound excited that he may be available. I think that would be a great place for him.

It won't be as easy to lure a LA kid to Columbia as it is to Tuscaloser. They recruit more in FL, GA, and NC/TN. I wouldn't want him to go to a West team but USCe doesn't scare me.

Yes I'm not concerned with going up against him in recruiting if we make a good hire and he lands at USCE.
