Yes those are gaudy stats but they a lil misleading.

Mett often took a beating when dropping back to pass. He stood there and took the hits better than most QB's and still made the throw. In the run game many runs went for little to nothing, but then Hill would break a big one. Rarely did LSU routinely run for 3-5 yards on most carries. There were many complaints here last year on the OL play. If the OL was so goddamn good then Miles would not have replaced him.

    Grimes has done MUCH worse.

This O-line was far superior under Stud, relatively speaking. Grimes is making Stud to look like the best O-line coach ever in the history of the game.

Not yet. Grimes has had six games, Studrawa had seven years.

How do you expect to be taken seriously saying stuff like this?

When in the last seven years have we gotten skull drug like this early in the season. Twice in 6 games.

Hell, ULM owned our Oline. ULM....

Alabama has lost almost as many players to the NFL as LSU has. They also come into this season with a QB who has hardly seen the field (much like Jennings/LSU). They went into Ole Miss and played them to the last snap of the game essentially, while we were beaten 41-7 and it looked even worse than the score indicated.

There is no comparing what happened to Bama yesterday vs LSU's performance. And LSU has shit the bed twice vs two SEC opponents and would have shit the bed vs Wisconsin had they not had key injuries.

He's going to defend Grimes until infinity and beyond. It's the stance he has taken, and he is not one to ever say he was mistaken. So there is that.

They need to get rid of Grimes now. Les can take over OL duties.

Well said. There is no comparison. I could have accepted a loss had LSU shown up. Bama also has two BCS titles, including one over LSU where the team did not show. I don't wanna hear the excuses, if you want to be the best you have to beat the best. Bama was the second best team that regular season.

Fact is LSU has not done a good job coaching up kids the last few years.

Don't ever try to speak for me, 'cause you are terrible at it. I only say that it is too early to blame the O-line woes on Grimes. Nobody is calling for his head except you. He inherited this line from Stud and has had less than a season with it. The tight ends are worse and Ensminger has had several years with them. Call for his head and I might agree with you. Too early to judge Grimes. I blame the O-line woes on the offensive linemen, who appear to be big, strong, athletic and dumb as a bag of hammers.

Alabama is competing and is still extremely hard to beat. Even with a raw QB making the customary rookie mistakes.

LSU is playing some embarrassing football across the board.

    Worlds apart.
