Was at the gym and decided to watch this particular at bat for some reason. I just figured this might be the time and it was. Great baseball player. Without roids (as BB11 alluded to). Without the injuries Griff would be on his way to 800 homers and we wouldn't be talking about Bonds' tainted homer record.
One of my all-time favorites. Good guy, great player - good for him. Sadly MLB probably never would have publicized the use of steroids at the time they did and they would have advertised the home run race ad nauseam.
Overall, I think he is better than Bonds, without the injuries, this is the guy we would be talking about.
I love Griffey Jr. He is so laid back. Anyone remember when he actually caught flack for wearing his hat backwards during batting practice? This morning on Mike and Mike, he was asked about his 600th home run and what it meant to him. His response: "That I've been playing too long."
