I don't want to get my hopes up since he is currently a Georgetown commitment, but is there anything to this or any possible reconsideration Greg is thinking?
I wish...but he's suppose to sign tomorrow...and if he doesnt...then maybe there really is something going on there.
considering his high school coach said his visit to LSU was just a "courtesy visit", then i'd say to not get your hopes up.
Even if he wanted to, do we even have a 'ship to give at this point? Actually, looking at our roster I see 10 players who could be back next year so I'm not completely clear on how we can sign 4 this year. (Of course, I'm sure Brady would jump on the chance to sign another forward and retroactively yank a 'ship from one of our guards. j/k of course, and I know that this year's team is actually in desperate need of big men in contrast to many of Brady's teams.)
I doubt if there is a team in the country who wouldn't find a spot for Monroe if he was interested and met their entrance requirements. Farrar or one of the others at the end of the bench would get an academic or some such aid if we had an opportunity to sign Monroe.
he's only listed as a "solid verbal" on both rivals and scout. http://http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=40233&sport=2
Don't hold your breath on it. He still wants to go to Georgetown at least as of a couple of days ago when I ran into him at the office(I teach at helen cox).
ok so it's officially sunday now...has he signed? if he waits till the spring period watch out...I like our chances.
