If the Tigers win 2 more games then who could argue that this will not be the greatest season by any team in the history of college football? I'm not saying the greatest team ever, though a good argument could be made that the Tigers are the greatest ever.

I agree with best season and best team. We will not have the NFL players the U had back in the day but we have many NFL players but this team if we finish out will be close to the top.

It would most certainly be the greatest season in the BCS era. That would be a slam dunk. Still two games to go though. I still say I want Bama again in New Orleans.

I don't think there is any doubt, it is likely the greatest regular season ever, someone will have to do the research to see of any other team has beaten 7 ranked teams with 3 of them being in the top 5th.

They were talking about it the other day, for regular season OU did 5 teams and that was back in 2000 I think? And the feat for top 3 ranked teams has never been done before like we did, taking out #2, #3, #3 in a regular season. It's really unheard of.

It would end up being 9 ranked teams with 4 of them being in the top 5 (actually top 3).

I think it's more important where our opponents end the season ranked. But I think there is a strong case that we've had one of the strongest regular seasons ever.

I know, however my post was based on what we have already accomplished during the regular season. But I know that will be forgotten if we don't win the championship.
