Got to put Ken Dryden ahead of Roy. IMO Cal Ripken is one of the all time overrated players of any sport. I agree with you on Bob Gibson - he's a total d-head and that tarnished his perception
ok, he had A pippen but not THE pippen. he was a shell of himself by then. olajuwan's rep is tarnished bc he only won it all when MJ was gone. i think if MJ didnt have pippen and/or Olajuwan did, history would be different. drexler was a shell of himself too. and never the defensive player pippen was.
the names that stick out to me as not belonging (of the ones i know anything about) are parrish, worthy and, hate to say it, but maravich.:insane:
Got to disagree here. Dude has like a career fielding percentage in the HIGH 90s. Tied with A-Rod for most HRs by a SS. Has at least a couple of MVPs. At the time, he was the youngest ever elected to the hall of fame. So I just looked up some of his stats. He's 18th all-time in PPG, so I think it's arguable that he should be in the top 50.

I hate the f**king Avs... but... No goaltender in the history of the NHL has had more success between the pipes than Roy. The Colorado Avalanche goaltender not only holds the record for regular-season wins in the NHL, he also is the all-time leader in victories in the playoffs. The Quebec City native has captured four Stanley Cup championships in his stellar career (two with Montreal and two with Colorado). In his rookie year, he not only won his first-ever Stanley Cup, but also captured his first Conn Smythe trophy as playoff MVP. The former Canadien goaltender is the youngest player ever to win the distinguished award (20) and also is the only player ever to win the trophy three times. The future Hall of Famer has won the Vezina trophy three times, the William Jennings Trophy four times and has played in 10 NHL All-Star Games. Roy is the NHL's all-time leading goaltender in games, minutes and shutouts in the postseason and the all-time leader in 10-plus win playoff seasons (8). The Avalanche goalkeeper has won 20 games or more 16 times, 30 or more 12 times and 40 or more one time in his noteworthy career.
He played for a record and stunted the Orioles growth. They still haven't recovered. Alright, truth be known, he just has that "aw shucks" fake humility thing going on like Garth Brooks. Somewhere deep down he has to be a sorry dude. I have no evidence, just what I've always thought. (the opinions of TexTiger are neither Fair or Balanced:lol
Cal's numbers never really dropped until well after he ended the streak. The Orioles growth is stunted by being in the same division as the Yankees/Red Sox.
