There were others who were known to enjoy themselves mightily between games. Hack Wilson who owns the RBI record was another I believe as was another Yankee great the Mick. Mickey Mantle. In fact the use of PRDs was more of the rule until really big money hit sports in the 70's or so.
Personally I think Bonds and Clemens are definite hall of famers. I agree on Raf and Sammy, and I also agree that steroids saved baseball after the strike. I don't like how guys like Bonds and Rocket were demonized when Bud Selig knew that shit was going on.
Prior to the Mizzou series, were they still in it for the division title? A moral victory is better than a loss....at home. And in other softball news, Lauren Chamberlain of Oklahoma broke the 13-year long career homerun record held by Stacey Neuvmann of ucla, with 91.
Ty Cobb was a notorious drinker. One of the best hitters ever. In the more modern era, I like to think Carew, Brett, and Ripken were all clean.
Cobb was also an outspoken racist and an overall asshole as a person. I think Ken Griffey Jr. was probably clean too
