I cant agree more. It sure was fun to watch Tiger baseball in late June again! Great ride, great time.
I couldn't agree more with the posts in this thread. Great season guys and I can't wait for next year!!!
What a remarkable season. A ride that I don't think that any of us saw coming at the beginning of the season. I am so proud of this team and the spirit they displayed throughout the season. The future most definately looks bright. Congrats on the great season Tigers, and thank you for all the fun you brought to us the fans.:geaux: :tigbas: :LSU231: On a side note, this ride got us thru half of the off season and Tiger Football is right around the corner. Getting excited already. What a great time to be a Tiger fan.:geaux: :helmet: :LSU231:
Yall were talking about putting the box out in style. WOW, What an amazing last couple months in the box. The games were electric. The crowd was wild. The box was full. Tears were shed in ninth enning comebacks. Tailgates started coming close to footbal atmosphere. I get the chills just thinking back to these last 15-20 games. What a wild ride. Compare this year's baseball team to tOSU last year. They weren't supposed to be that good. A lot of young player and rebuilding and they ended up in the championship game. LSU a lot the same. They ended up in territory they weren't supposed to be in. And as we all know, they won't stop talking about OSU and how good they are supposed to be in the '08 season. Well, there's your tigers! '91 '93 '96 '97 '00 '09 CPM? CHAMPIONS AGAIN AND AGAIN DYNASTY AMAZING GUESS WHO'S BACK!
I cant remember the last time I was so sad to see a season end in any sport....It's been a great year, from day 1, watching this team mature into a powerhouse once again. Many memories and my new favorite line which can be found in my sig CONRATS to the 2008 Tiger baseball team!!
btw...just a little something some of you may or may not know about this years Tigers team...they have given more community service hours and have the highest GPA than any other Tiger team. Tells you a lot about their dedication and why they were able to do the things they did this year. They were all willing to put in all the hard work that it takes.
this will be the one of the few teams we remember despite them not winning the CWS. what a team. a run unprecedented in LSU baseball despite all the skins on the all and even better than any run of stanleys. I was hoping that one last comeback against UNC would be the last one to put the season total at 31 in honor of wally. then kicking their ass one more time and UGA's while never losing a lead. would have been sweeter way of closing out the box but a sweet season it was indeed. check out the freshman and sophomores on this team and the underrated class we have coming in. hopefully the loss of terry rooney and cliff godwin are both replaceable. wet delatte from st amant did not get drafted. not sure what happened there but that bodes well for us.
