Yep. And you really can't have your QB taking that many shots. They just can't hold up. The key-phrase is "threat". The QB has to be able to read defenses and make all the throws but be a legitimate dangerous threat to run. His speed on the ground should be used sparingly and enough to make the defense have to respect it. Then you have the entire defense on their heels because they are scared to commit too hard in any direction.
RGIII is a true dual threat, Vick is not because he is incredibly inconsistent with poor accuracy. But like Brett said in the NFL when you are paying a starting QB 10 million a year, you dont want him running into those defenses very often.
I guess my point is that I've seen LSU fans (including this site) compare Jennings to Jordan Jefferson because they are both technically dual threat QBs. I think it's a good thing for a QB to be mobile, whether that means running for yards like Brees did at Purdue or just buying time in the pocket like Brees does now. I just don't think "dual-threat" should automatically give anyone another player to compare with.
