You've got an official in the booth at each game and 3 off site. I'm assuming Ritter will be one of the 3 off site. He's got a 25% input.
And how many plays go to replay? No more mystery holding calls from him on every down. Another thing just announced by the SEC is that replay feeds will be available to play on stadium screens for fans to see which may help keep them a little more honest. Either way that amount of plays where he will be able to influence the outcome of games should be reduced. I see that as a win for all teams not named Alabama. It surely should be seen as a positive for LSU.
Dude is a jinx. He sucks collectively no matter what game he calls despite being a closet gump pole dancer. I think the hate for him is universal, less you're a gump or anyone named bubba.
That's what I was afraid of--however, he won't be on the field to throw phantom flags. Still, I can't like our chances with him in the replay booth, either.
Quote from the linked article in the original post: But Ritter isn’t retiring completely. He will now be working in the replay booth at games, Shaw said. Let him work all the Bama games.
