LET'S MOVE ON TO BASEBALL! Tigers have been improving over the couple of weeks. They have that "top ranked monkey" off of their backs. The pitching with Coleman, Ranaudo and now Matty Ott is pretty darn impressive. The hitting seems to have finally come alive, and the base running errors are starting to subside. Hopefully I don't jinx the guys' improvements over the last few days, but things are shaping up for us. Next series versus Ole Miss will be an interesting one. I thought that we'd be able to take advantage of USCe's struggling pitching staff, and we did show some signs of life. This could be a big motivation-builder for this team. LSU did have three errors today, but the bats are starting to come alive again--I think it's a trade-off that I'd take at this point in the season... Anyway, that is all... just wanted to start another baseball thread! :geauxtige:tigbas::champs:
When I read the thread title I knew you were not one to start a thread bashing the men for playing a great game against UNC. Thankfully, I was right. The Tigers play Bianco's boys this weekend at the new Box. The Rebs are second in the west and this will be a great series.
which is always appropriate! :thumb: midweek games first. tuesday and wednesday against harvard at the box. THEN back to sec play. tho i agree with you, lets see what bianco's boys got.
better beat them with talent, because no way we'll be smarter than those guys. But in all seriousness, I like the weekend trio of Ranaudo, Coleman and Ross a lot in the rotation.
I do too. Coleman is a great pitcher, no sense in not using him as a starter when he's got the stuff.
I agree, and would add, that with this trio, and our bats we are going to be hard for anyone to beat. One of the things that I have really liked is that when our bats are cold and we get into pitching duels we have been able to still come out on top. With the exception of a few games our Aces have proven they can shut down to keep us in the game.
