Fear not. Coleman threw 17 pitches - no biggie. And when LSU beats the pigs, they get 4 days off to rest both stars plus Ross. If LSU loses, then the road gets tougher...
I would tend to agree. LSU vs ACC under Les Miles: LSU 40 Miami 3 LSU 48 VTech 7 LSU 38 Ga. Tech 3 Total: LSU/Miles 126 ACC 13 Yep, we need to play more ACC teams in football.
It was probably Coleman's day to throw on the side anyway. 17 pitches is just a tune up for the dominant performance he's about to have tomorrow
Bad calls are part of the game, just like injuries and the wind. Nobody likes it but every team has to deal with it and it all evens itself out.
No doubt about it we got a break on a missed call. But I wouldn't say that one call was the difference. Even had the correct call been made and the runner scored, we still win by 3.
Right, but if we ended up only winning by one you know the UVA fans would come out of the woodworks complaining about the call, which I can't really blame them for.
I believe it was a hard fought game by both teams. Our defense and timely hitting were the difference. Ranaudo didn't have a good game but our plays in the outfield(like Schimpf's catch with bases loaded) were the major factors in LSU's victory. The third base ump could not see the ball due to Schimpf's body blocking his view. This was in the first inning and the hitter did get a base hit during his at bat. Bad calls are part of the game and are unfortunate. UVA has a fine team and their fans who have posted here are class acts. Good luck to UVA the rest of the way thru the tournament except against the Tigers! Also the reference I made to the Boo Hoos in an earlier post was just a little good natured ribbin'. Plus it just sounded funny.:tigbas::geauxtige:LSU231:
I was really looking forward to meeting up with some hoo fans after seeing how cordial the guys posting on here have been, but a lot of them were huge a-holes. Hopefully I get a chance to meet some better examples. all I have to say about the game was that the umps' strike zone has been inconsistent ALL weekend. ranaudo was never really able to settle in.
